NVIDIA Certification — How to Register & Take the Exam
6 NVIDIA AI certifications. Online via Certiverse, $125 (Associate) / $200 (Professional), 70% to pass, 2-year validity.
NVIDIA-Certified Associate (NCA-) and Professional (NCP-) AI credentials are delivered online through the Certiverse proctoring platform. All six exams share one registration flow; only the fee, length, and difficulty differ. Register from the NVIDIA certification site, which hands you off to Certiverse to schedule and sit the exam.
1. Registration process
Go to nvidia.com/certification and pick the exam (NCA-GENL, NCA-GENM, NCP-GENL, NCP-AAI, NCA-AIIO, or NCA-ADS).
Create or sign in to your Certiverse account when redirected.
Pay the exam fee ($125 for Associate, $200 for Professional).
NVIDIA frequently issues free or discounted exam vouchers via GTC, DLI workshops, and webinars — apply the voucher code at checkout.
2. Delivery options
Online proctored only via Certiverse — no in-person test centers.
Requires a quiet private room, webcam, microphone, and a stable internet connection.
Government-issued photo ID required for the proctor check-in.
No notes, external resources, or second monitors are allowed during the exam.
3. Scheduling
After registering and paying on Certiverse, schedule a time slot (often available same-day or next-day). You can reschedule through the Certiverse dashboard up to the platform cutoff before your appointment.
Professional exams (NCP-GENL, NCP-AAI): $200 each.
Vouchers from NVIDIA GTC, DLI training, and partner events can reduce or waive the fee.
5. Retake policy
If you do not pass, you may retake the exam after a short waiting period (commonly a few days; confirm the current policy on the NVIDIA certification site). Each attempt requires a new registration and fee unless covered by a voucher.
6. Exam day
Associate exams: 50–60 questions in 60 minutes. Professional exams: 60–70 questions in 120 minutes.
Multiple-choice and multiple-response questions.
Passing requires roughly 70% (NVIDIA reports a pass/fail result).
Results are typically shown immediately after you submit.
7. Validity & renewal
NVIDIA certifications are valid for 2 years. Renew by passing the current version of the exam (or a higher-level exam in the track) before expiration.
8. Preparation resources
NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) offers self-paced and instructor-led courses aligned to each exam.
Official exam study guides (linked from each certification page) list the domains and weightings.
Hands-on labs on build.nvidia.com and NVIDIA GitHub (NeMo, TensorRT-LLM, Triton, NIM, RAPIDS) reinforce the practical skills.
NVIDIA On-Demand (GTC sessions) and the NVIDIA Developer YouTube channel provide deep dives on the tested topics.
